1. Booking and Contract
By making a booking with Boontu Safaris, you agree to these terms and conditions. A contract exists when we issue a booking confirmation. All bookings are subject to availability and confirmation.
2. Pricing and Payments
Residents (Kenya)
Prices are quoted in Kenyan Shillings (KES) and include applicable taxes unless stated otherwise.
Non-Residents
Prices are quoted in US Dollars (USD) and include applicable taxes unless stated otherwise.
Payment Schedule
- Deposit: 30% of the total price is required to confirm your booking
- Balance: Full payment is due 30 days before tour commencement
- Bookings made within 30 days of departure require full payment at the time of booking
3. Cancellation Policy
Cancellation charges apply as follows:
- More than 30 days before departure: Full refund minus administrative fee of 10%
- 15-30 days before departure: 50% refund
- 7-14 days before departure: 25% refund
- Less than 7 days before departure: No refund
All cancellation requests must be made in writing via email to info@boontusafaris.com.
4. Changes and Amendments
We reserve the right to alter itineraries due to unforeseen circumstances including weather conditions, political instability, or mechanical issues. We will make reasonable efforts to notify you of any significant changes.
5. Travel Insurance
Comprehensive travel insurance is mandatory for all travelers. Insurance must cover medical expenses, trip cancellation, baggage loss, and emergency evacuation. Proof of insurance may be required before departure.
6. Health and Medical
You must inform us of any pre-existing medical conditions, allergies, or dietary requirements at the time of booking. Some destinations may require vaccinations or malaria prophylaxis. Consult your healthcare provider for current recommendations.
7. Passports and Visas
You are responsible for ensuring that you have a valid passport (minimum 6 months validity beyond your travel dates) and any required visas. We can provide guidance but cannot be held responsible for visa rejections.
8. Liability
Boontu Safaris acts as an agent for various service providers (accommodation, transport, activities). While we carefully select our partners, we cannot be held liable for any loss, injury, or damage arising from the acts or omissions of third-party providers.
Our liability is limited to the value of your booking. We are not liable for:
- Natural disasters, political unrest, or force majeure events
- Lost or stolen personal property
- Personal injury during activities (clients participate at their own risk)
- Flight delays, cancellations, or baggage issues by airlines
9. Conduct
You agree to behave responsibly and respectfully toward other travelers, staff, and local communities. We reserve the right to terminate your participation without refund for behavior that endangers others or disrupts the group.
10. Photography
We may take photographs during tours for promotional purposes. If you do not wish to be photographed, please inform your guide. By booking, you grant us permission to use general group photos that may include you.
11. Environmental Responsibility
We are committed to sustainable tourism. You agree to follow our guidelines for responsible travel, including respecting wildlife, minimizing waste, and supporting local communities.
12. Complaints
If you have a complaint during your tour, please inform your guide immediately so we can address it. For post-tour complaints, please contact us within 14 days of your return. We will respond within 21 days.
13. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Kenya. Any disputes shall be resolved through amicable negotiation first, and if unresolved, through mediation or arbitration in Nairobi, Kenya.
