Day-by-Day Itinerary

Day 1

Nairobi to Samburu
Depart Nairobi northward (310 km). Scenic journey through tea, coffee, and sisal plantations. View Mount Kenya. Cross equator into semi-arid Samburu. First game drive en route to lodge. Afternoon game drive.

Day 2

Full Day in Samburu
Full day immersed in unique Samburu wildlife. Look for oryx, gerenuk, Somali ostrich, Grevy's zebra, and reticulated giraffe. Game drives along Ewaso Nyiro River. All meals at lodge.

Samburu to Nairobi
Early morning game drive before breakfast. Depart Samburu back to Nairobi. Lunch en route. Afternoon arrival in Nairobi. Overnight at hotel with dinner.

Day 4

Nairobi to Maasai Mara
After breakfast, depart for Maasai Mara. Drive through the Great Rift Valley. Known for the wildebeest migration and Big Five. Lunch, afternoon game drive. Return to camp for dinner.

Full Day in Maasai Mara
Full day game drive with packed lunch. Spot large herds, cheetahs, leopards. Picnic lunch at Mara River migration point. Continue exploration. Return to camp for dinner.

Maasai Mara to Lake Naivasha
After breakfast, optional Maasai village visit ($10). Depart for Lake Naivasha with lunch in Narok. Boat trip on the lake ($10) to see hippos and birds. Dinner at hotel.

Lake Naivasha to Lake Nakuru
Morning visit to Hell's Gate National Park (hike, cycle, or drive). Depart for Lake Nakuru. Lunch followed by game drive. Search for leopards, rhinos, and flamingos. Dinner and overnight.

Lake Nakuru to Amboseli
Early game drive before breakfast. Depart for Amboseli with hot lunch in Nairobi. Late evening arrival. Famous for Mount Kilimanjaro views. Dinner and overnight.

Full Day in Amboseli
Full day game viewing with packed lunch. Search for predators and large elephant herds against Mount Kilimanjaro. Picnic lunch. Return to lodge for dinner.
