Day-by-Day Itinerary

Day 1

Nairobi to Maasai Mara
Pick up from hotel or airport. Drive to Maasai Mara. Hot lunch. Afternoon game drive. The Mara covers 1,510 sq km and forms the northern extension of the Serengeti. Overnight at Lenchada Tourist Camp/Rhino Camp.

Day 2

Full Day Maasai Mara
Full day game drive with picnic lunch. Home to the Big Five. Large hippo and crocodile populations. The Great Migration (July-October) involves 1.3M wildebeest and 200,000 zebras.

Day 3

Maasai Mara to Lake Naivasha
Optional Maasai Village visit ($10). Depart for Naivasha. Walking safari at Hell's Gate. Optional bicycle ($10) or boat trip ($20) to see hippos and birds. Overnight at Leisure Apex/Jazza Resort.

Day 4

Lake Naivasha to Lake Nakuru
Breakfast and depart for Lake Nakuru. Game drive en route to find leopards. Picnic lunch. See black and white rhinos and thousands of flamingos. Overnight at Legacy Hotel/Buraha Resort.

Lake Nakuru to Amboseli
Breakfast and depart for Amboseli with hot lunch in Nairobi. Evening arrival. Famous for Mount Kilimanjaro backdrop. Dinner at Nyati Camp.

Day 6

Full Day Amboseli
Full day game drive with packed lunch. Search for predators, large elephant herds, and enjoy views of Mount Kilimanjaro. Return to lodge for dinner.

Day 7

Amboseli to Nairobi
Early breakfast, check out. 2-hour game drive then drive back to Nairobi. Drop off at hotel or airport for return flight.
